Antique Victorian Midnight Blue Velvet Cape with Steel Cut Beading

Antique Victorian Midnight Blue Velvet Cape with Steel Cut Beading

♥ Circa: Late 1800s to early 1900s
♥ Label: None
♥ Color: It was a pleasant surprise to take what we thought was a black cape and put it in a brighter light, to discover it is actually a stunning midnight blue! Looks darker/black in dimmer light.
♥ Material: Velvet
♥ Condition: Outer layer is in good vintage condition for being well over a century old. Velvet does have some wear in certain areas, particularly on neck/collar area. A few areas where velvet is a bit thinner then it once was, nothing major. Beading is EXCELLENT. Lining is in fair/as is condition with holes and tears but could easily be removed/replaced. Cape presents beautifully and is overall strong enough to be worn with care.
